YouTube ProfileI've decided to comment on the Gaza situation some more, because the suffering of the Palestinians has reached an especially inhuman, revolting level. I have seen photos of children, not even a year old, close to starving to death, and worse. Meanwhile, Israel is still blocking aid trucks, citing Hamas as the reason.
Israel could have avoided the vast majority of civilian casualties if they wanted. They could have set up filtration camps around the Gaza strip, where people can go to wait out the Gaza "offeAdam SomethingPost · 2 months ago

The latest news from Prague: the 2nd district city hall (the inventors of the car-centric pedestrian street) have successfully converted a proposed bike lane into a parking lane. Prague thus cements its lead for becoming City of the Year in 1975.

Third and final tabletop-related post: the 40K literature rant.
Something that has always bothered me is how badly 40K literature is written. It's not "bad" as in it's trash or unreadable. Rather, it's "bad" in the sense that they were commissioned and approved by a company that has more money than god.
Games Workshop is so wealthy, they could permanently employ Stephen King, Brandon Sanderson, and the entire writing staff of Disco Elysium without ever putting a dent into their finances. Instead, they optAdam SomethingPost · 2 months ago
Wow, that "small" announcement turned out to be quite big!
Thank you for all the interest in playtesting my (WIP) tabletop wargame, a bunch of people reached out already. There are no strict deadlines or limited time offers here, if anyone else wants to playtest it you can always DM me on Discord about it! You can find me under adamsomething.
I've seen some confusion about the nature of the game's universe. In the previous post I've mentioned that it has a progressive bent, that (some of) the factions areAdam SomethingPost · 2 months ago
Hey everyone, small announcement:
I'm working on my own tabletop wargame. We've been playtesting it for a while privately, and it has recently gotten to the point where I nailed down its core mechanics. That means it's ready for a wider circle of playtesters, which you can also be a part of, if you wish!
Main parameters of the game:
- hard sci-fi
- squad level (same as 40K)
- 28mm scale (same as 40K)
- miniature-agnostic
- D6 dice only, no proprietary items
- intuitive and easy-to-understand rules (4 and Adam SomethingPost · 2 months ago
Something very interesting is happening in Poland right now.
The current centrist government lost the presidential election, therefore they lost a lot of legitimacy and strength.
Donald Tusk, Poland's centrist PM, apparently tried to gain back legitimacy by declaring a border emergency, claiming that Germany is pushing rejected illegal migrants back to Poland via the border.
There has not been any proof for this. I repeat, there is zero proof that this is happening. There is no data to support this.

So, once again:
- The US is led by far-right authoritarians.
- Far-right authoritarians like other far-right authoritarians.
- Russia is led by a far-right authoritarian.
- Trump Admin members therefore want to see Russia win.
You will never talk the Trump Admin into supporting Ukraine. At best they don't care. At worst they want to see Russia win. Europe is on its own with Ukraine. However, Ukraine can win this even with just Europe backing it. As long as the US doesn't just ally with Russia outright.Adam SomethingPost · 2 months ago
Been to Festival Fantazie today in Chotěboř, Czechia!
Played lots of board games and checked out the monstrous Dungeons and Dragons castle map, consisting of multiple floors, which was the site to a 17 hours long game yesterday if I understood correctly.
Had a great time! Unfortunately I could only attend today, even though the convention goes on till the 6th of July! If you're in the area do check it out!Adam SomethingPost · 3 months ago
